Hand-colored sixth-plate daguerreotype of Mary Apthorp Quincy (later Gould) (1834-1883), taken circa 1850-1860 and attributed to the photographers Southworth & Hawes of Boston, Mass. She married the astronomer Benjamin Apthorp Gould (1824-1896) in 1864.
